Entry Test Survey Result

Last time we conducted a survey about Entry test , should it be taken or not. Let me discuss the results with you.

Entry Test Survey

We created a poll on website for students to vote in favor of entry test or against it. Poll remained open for 40 days. Total 116 votes were cast, out of these 91 were in favor of Entry test and 25 were against it. 

So a total 80% students are in favor of entry Test.

Result

Although the result of the survey is quite obvious but we think that it is never complete. As 3G is not launched in Pakistan yet, So we expect that most of the students taking part in survey belong to cities not from secondary schools of villages, and as expected the survey result was in favor of test.

As you can see we have asked another question from our readers. Should aptitude be included in this year's Test. I hope all of you will take part in this survey. We will share the results next month.

UHS Medical Entry Test 2013 : 

Last year we started helping students in Entry Test studies , This year we tend to do it again , with a new spirit, so let us start with some important aspects of Medical Entry test 2013, 

Syllabus and Date : 

First of all the Question arises would syllabus be changing, Well the Answer to this Question is really simple one , Is syllabus of Entry Test going to change or not? Well there is very less chance of the syllabus being changed , As we mentioned last year that the syllabus has been made such a way that most of the Topics of MBBS are covered in the syllabus so there is a very faint chance of UHS changing Entry Test syllabus, Instead  I believe they might review some of the MCQ distribution.

People will differ in opinions as they always do, so let us see what students say about entry test?

What is benefit of Entry Test? 

Really kind of Question you would never like to answer if you are appearing this year.

But there are some benefits that we understand, I am not going to share my views about it but of some of the students , Whom I asked the same Question.

Some said that Entry Test is good as it tests concepts and also it really discriminates between cramming and conceptual study , others gave the benefits like It Tests your nerves, confidence etc. While The most interesting one was

I have been looking around some of the readers coming from USA here , In search of MCAT materials and it lead me to research the topic of USA MCAT a bit, and see what kind of questions are there and How it differs from MCAT of other countries.

Why MCAT by AAMC? :

AAMC stands for Associate of American Medical colleges. MCAT by AAMC is the standard Pre-Medical Admission test that is preliminary for the students seeking admissions in American Medical Schools. 

The list is never ending and when it comes to Harvard Medical School , Thanks to my conversation with Colin Janson from HMS admission Department, It came to know the procedure of Admission in HMS. MCAT by AAMC is mandatory there as well.

merit list the 2012 session was announced, and you know at what time 6 PM troubling everyone out, and even News Channels announced the merit a lot earlier. UHS should improve in other aspects too, Let's see some of these....

Effective study and Study Habits

Well I was asked by some of you that How we can study effectively while preparing for Entry Test .

So let us first understand things about Effective Study and How to do it.

What Effective study Means :

Effective study means to study with maximum efficiency in minimum time. But that doesn't meant that you should be preparing a book in just one or two days, 

No just see How much time you have and what level of knowledge and concept is required for Test. 

Often we have to make a compromise on one of these , either the level of study or the time. And if you don't start preparing them , Than time is the limiting factor which decides the study level.
